Dakota Rose Entertainment is a group of 20 'Ladies' who have come together to entertain & enthrall the public. Their leader is the 'Madame Dakota Rose', who hails from St. Joseph Missouri. Miss Rose was born in 1850 on a very large and wealthy tobacco farm. As the Civil War approached her family held allegiance to neither the North nor the South. They just wanted to be left alone. Missouri was a split state. So as troops would approach their home they had to be able to whistle 'Dixie' and sing 'The Battle Hymn of the Republic' with equal enthusiasm. Both sides took their toll on the family. They lost everything including their lives.

Rose was left an orphan and moved into town where she worked at the local Opera House as a laundress and seamstress, where she learned to sing and to dance. When Rose turned 16 she took a wagon train to Abilene Kansas, then on to Dodge City Kansas, where she got a job at the Long Branch Saloon.
It was here that she entertained Bill Hickock, Doc Holliday, and the Earp brothers. She also met the notorious Calamity Jane for whom she did not care for because of her proclivity to 'give herself'' to men free of charge. This was just outrageous to Miss Rose who always charged a fair price for her 'entertainment'. After a few years, she decided to get out of Dodge and travel to Tombstone, where Wyatt Earp had a vested interes in a Saloon. He convinced her to come to work at the Bird Cage where she bacame the famous belly dancer 'Fatima'.
